The Odette is cut without a belt, a tie or a waist seam, so the fabric never lands where you did not want it. It falls in one clean line from the shoulder, past the bust, past the middle and past the hip, and ends just below the knee — long enough to cover the knee itself, short enough to keep the leg line long, and right with a flat sandal or a boot without changing anything else. The cloth is a matte woven fabric with real weight to it: completely opaque, no sheen to catch the light, and enough body that it hangs away from you and falls straight back into line the moment you stop moving. The neckline is a plain round neck with no collar and nothing to fasten. The sleeves cover the upper arm fully and are made to be rolled — turn them back to just below the elbow and a small tab holds them there all day. Two deep pockets are set into the side seams and hung from the seam, so they add nothing at the hip.
